Wellness Peers can help enhance campus wellbeing by sharing evidence-based health information, and connecting students with health-related resources on and off-campus. The wellness peers support student’s wellness by promoting proactive wellness strategies so that they are able to achieve academic and personal success.

Hello Friends! I am Elsa Sajjad, a junior, studying Communication and Design. I bring with me a background in theatre, film, and slam poetry. I believe in using the arts as a way of addressing issues related to mental health. Look me up whenever you need!

Syeda Ifrah Faheem
Hello people! I am an SDP junior trying to figure out life one step at a time (ok that was a dramatic start). Well, I will just begin by reflecting a bit on my time at Habib so far. From being a freshie who barely knew anyone here to a junior who struggled to juggle between a club, committees, friendships, maintaining a healthy personal life, and oh yeah, not to forget being cramped up with academic deadlines all the time. It would be extremely unjust if I say that these experiences weren’t rewarding; all of these have surely been great learning opportunities that I thoroughly enjoyed. However, finding time for myself amongst all this wasn’t easy. I enjoy doing embroidery, painting, cooking/baking and these were things I genuinely missed doing. I am trying to learn the art of slowing down in this fast-paced world, so, becoming a wellness peer is just as much for me as it is for the HU Community. I believe, there’s nothing more important than taking care of yourself and others around you. I hope me and my fellow wellness peers are able to make your time at Habib a wee bit better. I would be happy to help you to the best of my abilities!
Muhammad Hozefa Haider

Salaam, my name is Muhammad Hozefa Haider, a CS junior at Habib University. You might have seen me around on campus dancing, singing, or just casually cracking jokes at the top of my lungs. I am your wellness peer for this year! Since I wasn’t too sure how to properly introduce myself, I asked people who knew me, to tell me something about myself. Here is what they said:

The most approachable person who knows when to be serious and when to be fun,
and I think they are pretty correct, but there is a lot more to me which I want to use and give back to this community. The essence of Habib life is being there for each other and as a wellness peer, my aim is to promote such an environment that is safe, comfortable, and fun.
